We are The Coalition for Higher Learning, Inc., a collective group of parents and businesses committed to assuming a more active role in students’ and young adults’ personal and professional development. When we first established our organization, our central purpose was to help address a critical dilemma: how to increase public and community involvement in preparing children for success in school, work, and life in general. Now, almost twenty years later, our commitment has not changed.
This wholly rebranded and updated site shares original and other openly available content that student learners and young adults, alike, can use to increase their knowledge, understanding, and utilization of personal and professional development resources. Along the way, we introduce a variety of skills and competencies validated by educators and employers. Our approach is based on active and experiential learning so learners can identify and demonstrate the critical link between knowledge intake and real-world application. In some case, content is restricted to subscribe. rs only. In those cases, the purpose is to encourage more active and focused engagement among learners and our member organizations.
The changing employment contract and increased global competition demand that students be ready NOW. Educators cannot do it alone. We must do our parts to ensure that students-–our children-–are prepared.
Welcome back to our site. We hope that you will take time to learn more about us and our work.
